Laser hardening
We perform surface hardening (hardness penetration depths of 0.1 mm to max. 2 mm) on finish machined (e.g. ground and polished) components using Nd:YAG and diode lasers, with practically no distortion. We use various NC systems, with three to six axes. The use of a six-axis robot enables us to series-manufacture large numbers of small components.
Special hardening optical systems are used to assure high throughputs and process-reliability, while the use of pyrometers assures best possible control and monitoring of the hardening process.
We prepare metallographic microsections and hardness measurements for our customers.
